artist research 2: molly maloney

MOLLY MALONEY

Molly Maloney is an American Concept Artist born in Anchorage Alaska in 1986. Molly is currently working at one of my favourite game developing and publishing company: Telltale Games. Molly received a BS in the Japanese language as well as BFA from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Molly is personally my favourite artist who create art pieces that relates to my progression route. Below showcases a series of her artwork:

Molly's style of art is also focused on realistic and concept arts, she cares a lot about how the art will look like as she'd keep practicing on her art. Molly knows her weaknesses and she'd keep practicing by starting up a personal project on her own. Molly had started up her personal project called the 1 Hour Paint Project, where she'd start up her day by painting something from a movie or a game. According to her, it is a great way as a morning warm up. I had took the idea as an influence and twisted it a little and created my own.
